L’Oréal Australia’s Active Cosmetics Division is delighted to announce that the brand SkinCeuticals will be integrated into their portfolio from April 1st 2017.
L’Oréal’s Active Cosmetics Division is the world leader in dermocosmetics and in 2016 it further increased its share of the worldwide market with growth of +5.7% like-for-like. The division has a portfolio of brands developed and endorsed by health professionals including dermatologists, paediatricians and cosmetic doctors.
SkinCeuticals is the latest pillar of the Active Cosmetics Division in Australia. The brand was founded in 1997 by renowned American scientist Dr Sheldon Pinnell and is the leading brand for antioxidants, which help to protect skin against free radical damage. Dr Pinnell’s research team discovered the formulation of the original, stabilised topical vitamin C serum, with the exact specification for proven penetration into the skin. Today, SkinCeuticals continues to lead the industry as one of the first companies to provide scientific evidence to support product benefits – publishing clinical studies in respected medical journals.
“I am excited that SkinCeuticals will now be part of the Active Cosmetics portfolio in Australia,” says Jorn Zempel, General Manager Active Cosmetics Division. “SkinCeuticals is a quality cosmeceutical brand which leads the industry as one of the first companies to provide scientific evidence to support product benefits. We know that through its expansion in our market more and more Australians will embrace its promise of providing advanced products, backed by science. I also look forward to working closely with Catherine Biedermann, Managing Director of Advanced Cosmeceuticals to build on the work she has done to meticulously develop and distribute the brand here over the past 10 years.”
SkinCeuticals has a philosophy based on three key principles – prevent, correct and protect. The brand’s range of products helps to prevent visible signs of premature skin ageing by reinforcing the skin’s natural protection against free radicals that may cause oxidation which can lead to cellular damage. In addition, they help to correct the appearance of the visible signs of skin ageing to help restore a youthful appearance and radiant complexion, and they protect healthy skin from harmful UV rays through broad-spectrum UV filters. Together, the principles combine to improve skin health and fight against the major causes of skin ageing.
The brand will be available through select dermatologists, cosmetic clinics, plastic surgeons, medi-spas, salons and online. With over 40 retail products available, this extensive portfolio is complemented with professional sizes used in and around professional in-clinic treatments.
